Bacillus subtilis DSM 21097 – finely dosed with Moringa
Technical Product Data & Quality Documentation
This food supplement contains the spore-forming bacterial strain Bacillus subtilis DSM 21097, providing 1 billion viable spores (CFU) per capsule.
DSM 21097 is a clearly defined bacterial strain deposited in an international culture collection.
With 1 billion spores per capsule, this variant allows for finer and more individual dosage compared with our products containing 10 billion spores per capsule.
The pack contains 60 capsules. At the recommended intake of two capsules per day, this provides 30 daily servings of 2 billion spores each.
With Moringa as a plant-based carrier
Moringa oleifera is used exclusively as the carrier. The plant-based HPMC capsule shell makes the product completely vegan.

What does DSM 21097 mean?
Bacillus subtilis is a bacterial species. Within this species, there are different strains.
DSM 21097 identifies the specific strain used in this product. The DSM number allows the strain to be clearly assigned to the corresponding reference strain deposited in an international culture collection.
For our products, we therefore do not simply specify the bacterial species Bacillus subtilis, but the specific strain used: DSM 21097.
Finer dosage
While our higher-dose variants contain 10 billion spores per capsule, this product provides 1 billion spores per capsule.
This makes it particularly easy to adjust the amount of spores consumed by varying the number of capsules.
Stable natural spore form
Bacillus subtilis is a spore-forming bacterium. DSM 21097 is present in the product in a stable spore form. As a result, the product can be stored without refrigeration when kept under appropriate storage conditions.
Composition per capsule
• Moringa oleifera
• Bacillus subtilis DSM 21097 – 1 billion CFU
• Plant-based HPMC capsule shell
No artificial fillers and no synthetic flow agents.
Contents
• 60 capsules per container
• 300 mg capsule contents per capsule
Recommended intake
Take 2 capsules daily with sufficient liquid. This corresponds to a daily serving of 2 billion spores (CFU).
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place protected from light. Refrigeration is not required. Keep out of reach of young children.
Experience since 2012
Our work with Bacillus subtilis DSM 21097 began in 2012. This variant provides DSM 21097 at a significantly finer dosage per capsule than our 10-billion-spore products.
FAQ – frequently asked questions
What is Bacillus subtilis DSM 21097?
DSM 21097 is a clearly defined strain of the bacterial species Bacillus subtilis. The strain is deposited in an international culture collection and is present in the product in a stable spore form.
How many spores does one capsule contain?
Each capsule contains 1 billion viable spores (CFU). The recommended daily serving of two capsules therefore provides 2 billion spores.
What is the difference between this product and the 10-billion-spore products?
The main difference is the dosage. This product contains 1 billion spores per capsule, allowing for finer individual portioning. Moringa is used as the plant-based carrier.
How long does one container last?
One container contains 60 capsules. At two capsules per day, it provides a 30-day supply.
Does the product need to be refrigerated?
No. Due to the stable spore form, refrigeration is not required when the product is stored appropriately.
Is the product vegan?
Yes. The capsule shell is made from plant-based HPMC. The product is vegan, gluten-free and lactose-free.
Where is the product encapsulated?
Further processing and encapsulation are carried out in Western Europe by an FSSC 22000-certified food production facility.
